We're proud to announce the first release of our brand spankin' new app, Breevy. ![]()
Breevy is a text replacement / text expander program. You can use it to abbreviate words or phrases that you type on the computer. Just create an abbreviation, define it's corresponding word or phrase, and then from then on, type the short abbreviation (instead of the phrase) into any program and it'll be replaced automatically with the long phrase.
For example, let's say you wanted to make it a lot easier to type your home address on the computer. With Breevy, all you have to do is:
1) Create a new abbreviation... say, addy.
2) Specify the replacement text... in this case, we want the abbreviation to be replaced with our address, so...
123 Lawn Street
Apartment 315A
Beverly Hills, CA 90210
3) Type addy (our abbreviation) into any program: your e-mail client, your word processor, your web browser, etc. Breevy will then automatically replace the typed abbreviation with your address. How cool is that? That's 4 key presses instead of 54 key presses. Sweet!
Breevy has lots of cool features, too... for example, you can (optionally) make it so that an abbreviation is only replaced if a certain key is pressed, like perhaps the Control or Shift key (you decide).
Check it out and let us know what you think. ![]()
